During the pandemic, Gaelic Football activity on the peninsula really struggled to maintain its activity. Because football was more prevalent and was the only chance of competitive team sport we had, I went all in and got sucked into an interesting concept.
We envisioned a new type of club in Seoul that could uniquely bring the foreign community together and closer to Korea. We set out to establish a soccer club composed mainly of international members but fully integrated into the Official Korean Football structure.
Almost 2 years later and this is the Leo FC story so far. While our on-field accomplishments are a work in progress, off the field, we've laid the foundation for something truly distinctive in Korea. Sharing the dressing room with players from over 15 nationalities has given me a much wider perspective but also learning why and how the game operates in Korea also teaches us a few things about longevity and activity in our later years.
A truly privileged journey so far, thanks for leading this on and off the field Jay, Ce fut un privilège. I’ll keep working on my touch! Vamos Leo!
